Popped back in to Orinoco today to check out their Saturday scrap shop and see if they had anything to use for my cladding proposal. Had a chat with one of the assistants about melting down rubber. Luckily for me he used to work in a rubber factory, unluckily for me he said I would not be able to melt down rubber pellets effectively outside of industrial conditions and it would need to be above 400 degrees centigrade - so not on my BBQ then.
